There are some notable changes in the design, camera, and performance of this phone.

Let’s find out more in this detailed review of the Oppo F21 Pro.

Design

Like most of the upcoming mid-range devices, it has a flattened edge. Flat edges make it sit comfortably in hand. It is slightly thinner than its predecessor F19 Pro. The soft fiberglass back of this phone makes it easy to grip and hold. Weight distribution is impressive which also contributes in comfortable handling.

The design of this smartphone makes it both premium and comfortable at the same time. There is hardly any plastic, rather soft leatherite material at the back. The same material is also responsible for superior smudge resistance.

The rear look of this smartphone feels more premium than the front. The Sunset Orange color looks cleaner than any other color option for this smartphone. Oppo has introduced IPX4 water resistant in this phone which was not present in its previous model.

Display

Oppo F21 Pro comes with a 6.43-inch FHD panel with a punch hole on the top left. Oppo F21 Pro isn’t as big as other smartphones available in this budget.  The smaller size makes it more manageable and practical and retains all the functional aspects of a big smartphone. The AMOLED display supports a 90Hz refresh rate, making the content super smooth and color accurate.

RGB ring light around the camera is among the major changes in design. It is a notification light and also shows charging progress. A cool feature right?

This FHD panel has a peak brightness of 800 nits which means it’s not super bright. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 with an added display Protection film over the screen by Oppo.

Oppo F21 Pro has a sharp display with thin bezels on the sides. However, the bottom bezels are relatively thicker, but it grows on you as you use the device.

Camera

Oppo never disappoints its customers in camera department. Oppo F21 Pro has a triple-camera setup at the back now vs 4-camera setup in Oppo F19 Pro. However, its primary sensor is now 64 MP as compared to 48 MP of Oppo F19 Pro. This device can take better pictures in larger size. A 2MP microscope and 2MP depth sensor are also there that might be handy in some conditions.

Don’t know why, but this device doesn’t support 4K video recording unlike its predecessor. EIS is available that stabilizes videos when moving.

Selfie camera is upgraded massively as F19 Pro had only 16 MP shooter whereas F21 Pro comes with a 32 MP selfie-camera. So, the selfies are going to get better in this Oppo’s smartphone.

Performance

Oppo has bring some upgrades in the hardware of F21 Pro as well. It has Snapdragon 680 which is much better than its predecessor F19 Pro’s Helio P95 chipset. Same goes for the GPU as this device got a better GPU Adreno 610 vs PowerVR GM9446 GPU of its previous model.

But, do you think that the chipset is good enough as compared to other devices available in this range? Well, it might be a big question that the company should focus on as most people buy phones that can run games like PUBG and others with decent graphics settings.

Chipset-and-RAM

Oppo F21 Pro has a 128GB of fast UFS 2.2 storage which means applications and media will load quickly.

Battery

Oppo F21 Pro has a 4500mAh battery which is a bit larger than F19 Pro’s 4310 mAh battery. According to the company, this smartphone charges 100% of the battery in 60 minutes with its 33W fast charger. It also comes with the reverse charging option that wasn’t available in its predecessor.
